CHA Sneak Peek #6: Penguins

When this message auto-posts, I'll be in Chicago with Ted, Michelle, and Darcie setting up our booth for the CHA trade show (which will be held tomorrow through Thursday). I wanted to post one last sneak peek and show you the new penguin collection by artist Ronnie Walter. These funny guys have been making me smile since last month when I first saw them:

Check out the new 11004MC Sporty Penguins Clear Set all gussied up in a card:

Did you know that the #1 preferred penguin holiday is Christmas, as shown in the 11005MC Christmas Penguins Clear Set:

All of these stamps will be available in wood mounted versions, as well:

Last, but not least, is the 11006MC Penguin Pals Clear Set:

I think that little one looks adorable stacked on top of the Snowball Penguin:

So, what do you think? Do these make you yearn for winter yet? (Ha ha, maybe not...but perhaps they'll put you in the mood for getting a head start on your holiday cards!)

All of the new releases will be available to order online in early August. I'll let you know as soon as they're posted.

Have a great week, Inky friends, and I'll see you back here on Friday after I return home!

CHA Sneak Peek #5: Cooking Turtle

If you don't already own an Inky turtle stamp, I'm guessing you've at least seen one either on our website or when I demo the colored pencil blending technique with Gamsol on our 10293H Turtle's Balloon stamp at conventions. The turtle collection from artist Tammy DeYoung contains some of our best-selling stamps, which is why I'm hoping you'll also like this one:

It's 10994MC Cooking Turtle Clear Set, and he might just be my very favorite of them all! (I suppose it depends on what day you ask me, LOL.) Look how cute he is colored up and made into this pocket card, which would be perfect for presenting to someone with a gift card to their favorite restaurant:

If you'd prefer to put the gift card into a 3-D item instead, V1-1223 Rectangle Box Template makes a nice complement:

As you may know, I'm a huge "foodie" and love anything related to cooking...or eating! That's another reason why I love this new turtle set. After CHA, I plan to bake some cookies because I haven't had time to do that for quite a while and I'm sure my oven misses me. Wouldn't it be fun to tuck them into this decorated 10189X Tall Bag Template:

Or perhaps X1-0020 Gift Bag Template:

Of course, you can always just put your treats into a plain ol' sack and people will probably be happy...but I'll bet they'd be especially pleased if you included this:

Thanks to Michelle Pearson for another amazing set of samples. More to come soon, so please keep checking back!

CHA Sneak Peek #4: More Millie Mousie

Not only does Millie Mousie enjoy Halloween, but she is a big fan of turkey and other fall delights! She'll be featured again our new 11000MC Thanksgiving Millie Clear Set:

As with artist Tammy DeYoung's other Millie sets, you'll have several creative options (as shown in these delightful cards by Michelle Pearson):

We'll also be introducing Millie's friend, Mervin, in the 10999SC Thanksgiving Mervin Clear Set:

Doesn't he look cute all ready for some autumnal fun:

The best part is that you can combine the elements from these two sets for even greater flexibility. For instance, Mervin can hold the apple basket from Millie's set:

You can use him with the pie or turkey, too. And Millie can hold the pumpkin from Mervin's set. As the stamp says, "Happy Fall to one and all," indeed!

CHA Sneak Peek #3 & Traveling Again

I'm flying into Cleveland tomorrow morning and driving with gang to North Carolina for this weekend's Winston-Salem convention. But before I head to the airport at the crack o' dawn, I thought I'd leave you with another CHA preview. Remember our friend Millie Mousie? I'm happy to announce that she'll be back for autumn in our new Halloween Millie Clear Stamp Set:

Just like the original Millie set, you can mix and match the elements to create different versions of her all dressed up to celebrate the big night. Check out this cute sample made by Michelle Pearson:

Yup, it's "magic," as the saying goes. Well, stamping magic, that is! Here's another scene:

How fun is that? And even though Halloween is still a few months away, you can still go trick or treating at this weekend's show. Simply stop by the Inky booth on Saturday or Sunday and mention the secret phrase "Trick or Treat" to receive this little goodie for free!

CHA Sneak Peek #2 & Blog Candy

I've been fast friends with my computer lately...touching up artwork, sizing illustrations for stamps, finishing up the draft layout of our upcoming flyer, and even making a few samples here and there.

For example, these little guys are getting ready to make their appearance:

Tammy DeYoung has designed three new clear stamp sets to coordinate with our 10215V Triangle Treat Template. Don't Batty and Froggie make you want to "hop right to it" and create some yourself?

Combined with our existing collection of add-on sets, you'll be able to create a total of fifteen different characters! Maybe you'll "wrap up" small treats in these cute Frankie and Mummy goodie boxes:

Or perhaps you'll want "to crow about" these fellas (sorry, LOL, I just couldn't resist the puns!):

So, which ones are YOUR favorites? Pick two characters--one from the currently available sets and one from this upcoming release--and leave a note in the comments section of this post with your choices. You'll get a chance to win the 10215V Triangle Treat Template plus 10938SC Christmas Character Maker Clear Set:

I'll take entries until this Friday at midnight Central time. The winner will be randomly chosen after the deadline, and I'll post the results here. Good luck!

Update: This blog candy drawing is now closed. Thanks to everyone who participated!

CHA Sneak Peek #1 & Gardening

Today Steve and I went to the farmers market to pick up a few more herbs. A couple of weeks ago, I'd filled this beautiful planter he'd made (along with help from his friend Chad) for my birthday in May:

I added some basil to the second planter (not pictured), and then I got back to work on the new CHA release. Steve spent the afternoon putting some perennials into the ground in the corner area of our side yard, and then he filled it with mulch:

Speaking of the new stamps, Debbie Fisher created this adorable card with an image and saying from the upcoming Forest Friends collection by artist Janie Miller:

And, meanwhile, Oscar took on the most important job of relaxing in a shoebox:

Hope YOU are having a relaxing weekend yourself...and Happy 4th of July wishes to you!
