Last month, Marie Oberg wrote to tell me that her stamping group was planning to make cards with 11000MC Thanksgiving Millie and 10999SC Thanksgiving Mervin Clear Sets at their next meeting:
I asked Marie if she'd be willing to take photos of the ladies and their finished projects, and she graciously agreed.
Here's the Lilac Inkers group, busily working on their creations:
And, oh, what a fantastic job they did! Aren't these cards just adorable:
Look at their awesome job of coloring (yep, with colored pencils and Gamsol!):
You can mix and match the various elements in these sets for endless versatility. So cool!
All the details they added really made the cards special. (You can click on any of these photos for a close-up view.) From buttons and bows to punched borders and hand drawn "stitching," their projects were beautifully embellished:
The leaves stamped in white pigment ink stood out nicely aginst the kraft cardstock (and some were done with VersaMark, as well):
The punched leaves added pizazz, and I love how they layered their cards with panels that were dry embossed, sponged, outlined in gold, and more:
Thanks so much to Marie and the rest of the Lilac Inkers for sharing their gorgeous cards with us. Hope you've gotten a few ideas to use in your own projects. Have a "micey nice" day, everyone!

They did a great job with these cards! It's always fun to see my art come alive! Way to go ladies!
Thanks, Jackie for featuring the Lilac Inkers on the Inky Antics blog. I am sure they will be tickled pink err I mean 'lilac'!
Thanks also to Tammy for providing us with these adorable, fun images. They always bring smiles to the faces of anyone who sees them.
Awesome cards! Thank you so much Marie for sharing all these pics with us!
I absolutely LOVE these cards! Amazing! The gamsol coloring (which I still struggle with) is amazing as well as all of the papers and embellishments! Bravo to Lilac Inkers! Such an inspiration
Wonderful card ladies, it looks like you all have such a great time, thanks Marie for sharing.
It was such fun making these cards. Marie always encourages us to "stretch" ourselves creativity and I think we surprised ourselves as to the variety of cards that were made! And the images are so adorable and so versatile! It was really fun working with them!--Cathy M.
We all loved making these cute cards.
Marie does a great job for us with her workshop. She provides a great place for us to play. Each month we have a new project, and also a "challenge" and "swap" to work on at home. We also get to see all her creations. It is like Christmas!

We just love Inky Antics stamps! We all had a great time making the cards and seeing everyone else's creations from the same stamps. Marie always provides us with a great play to create and we are grateful for that. Donna
Shalady88 - Tricia - Hey Inky Antics! I wanted you to know that I am getting the Gamsol technique down now! Lots of practice and looking at your great examples! I love your stamps! I can't wait to get more of them!
Hey, Tricia...so glad you're perfecting the Gamsol technique. Would love to see some of your finished cards. I love using this technique, the shading you can achieve is phenomenal with so little work.
Thanks so much for your wonderful comments, ladies! I agree the Lilac Inkers did a fantastic job, and it's so nice to hear your kind feedback (as well as how much they enjoyed making their cards). This is a perfect example of why I love my job... :-)
