Sunday Stamping With Kerri Michaud: Halloween Hijinx

Last month, we ended Guest Designer Paula Williamson's visit with a Christmas card. Today, we're taking a trip backwards in the order of annual holidays to one of my favorite cardmaking opportunities, Halloween!

Kerri Michaud, our Guest Designer for July, chose 10919MC Halloween Hijinx Clear Set (drawn by artist Janie Miller) for her stamps:

The classic Halloween shades of lime green, tangerine, and lilac look great together in Fancy Pants Designs' Oct. 31 patterned paper. Kerri repeated them in her other elements and crafted a wonderful card based on this sketch:

Wanna take a closer look at all her fun details? How many can you spot:

The layered scallop borders are stitched in black for contrast and topped with a pretty green bow/black button/orange bakers twine bow combination.

Kerri sponged the edges of Nestabilities Labels 18 and then stamped the Spider Web (2315E in wood mounted) onto the corner for added visual interest.

I love how Spidey (1240C in wood mounted) was stamped directly on the patterned paper so that he's literally lurking in the background. In contrast, the main image (1261G Cauldron Time in wood mounted) was treated with glitter on the bubbles and popped up with foam tape to make him really stand out!
