Although it's August, we know that many of you like to get a head start on your winter holiday cards.
Last month, Debbie Fisher created two adorable goodie boxes using 11137MC Snowy's Woodland Pals Clear Set (drawn by artist Tammy DeYoung):
And, on Sunday, Tina Covington shared her awesome side step card decorated with these stamps.
Not only that, but she also created this charming criss cross pocket card featuring Snowy and his friends:
You can follow this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers, except start out with two 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" pieces of cardstock and score them at 4 1/4" to create a vertically oriented pocket:
Did you notice how Tina paper pieced the snowman's scarf? She also used the "out of the box" technique with her Nestabilities to make the owl extend past the die-cut oval. Very cool, indeed! (Pun intended, LOL.)
For the insert card, strips of patterned paper were placed at the bottom so everything coordinates beautifully:
Have
you ever made a criss cross pocket card? If not, we hope this inspires you to try it!
