Sunday Stamping With Danielle Lounds: Chocolate Valentine

If you're like Danielle Lounds, you'd name Copic markers, ribbon, a sewing machine, dies, the Corner Chomper by We R Memory Keepers, foam tape, and rhinestones as some of your favorite stamping tools.

Are any of those items on your must-have list?

And what happens when you combine several of them with 10950MC Valentine Critters # Clear Set (drawn by artist Janie Miller):

You might end up with this charming card she made:

How many items can you count from Danielle's list? Well, first I see Copic markers used to color the stamped image. Then there's foam tape used to pop up the candy box, along with ribbon and a Corner Chomper used in the corners:

I just love the glittery touches. The difference really is in the details, huh?

Oh, and here is a close-up of the sewing machine stitching, shown next to the chocolate-themed saying:

How incredibly sweet is that? ;-) If you'd like to make your own, these are the steps:

1. Stamp puppy dog image on Choice Snow White. Stamp the heart box twice more on additional pieces of white cardstock. Color all three images.

2. Layer the main image on Kraft cardstock and stitch the edges using a sewing machine and heavy duty white thread.

3. From the second image, cut out the heart and bow. Attach to first using foam dimensional.

4. From the third image, just cut out the bow and attach to main image using more foam dimensional.

5. Layer designer paper on Kraft cardstock, rounding the top corners of the layers. Stitch edges using sewing machine.

6. Stamp a sentiment on the panel and add vintage seam binding, tying it into a bow.

7. Finish by adhering the panels to the card base using foam dimensional tape and adding a few heart embellishments.

Paper: Kraft (My Favorite Things), Marshmallow (Bazzill Card Shoppe), Choice Snow White (Taylored Expressions), Designer (Fancy Pants)
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers
Accessories: Faceted Hearts (Prima), Crystal Stickles (Ranger), Dark Pink Vintage Seam Binding, Corner Chomper (We R Memory Keepers), Heavy Duty White Thread & Sewing Machine, Foam Tape, Paper Distresser (Tim Holtz)

Even though it's the last Sunday in January (which usually signals the final GD post of the month), we're not saying goodbye to Danielle quite yet. Please come back on Tuesday for a special bonus project!

Very cute--I like all the special details like the machine stitching. That is something I usually don't do but like how it looks.
