We're following up last Friday's post on humorous cake mistakes with a few "sweet" projects for you today! Inky artist Nancy Baier of Shady Tree Studio drew the yummy images in the new 11144MC Baking Time Clear Set:
If you use these stamps to decorate a box created with X2-2940 Square Box Template, you could end up with this adorable project that Debbie Fisher whipped up (using a variation of the basic instructions shown here):
Of course, you wouldn't be able to fit a real piece of cake inside the box...but a little cookie or two could certainly work!
If you wanted to mix things up, you could make a card like this one from Michelle Pearson:
The upper and lower panels open up, showing a beautifully finished inside:
And, of course, you know how changing the color palette can make a dramatic difference. Take a look at this cheery version that Nancy baked up herself:
The "yellow cake" colors are carried through the rest of the layout, along with a fun mottled background created with Distress Ink:
In case I've whetted your appetite for more, Nancy explains the techniques she used in this blog post!
