"Try It Different" Tuesday: Tall Bag Template

A few weeks ago, I posted a couple of projects made using X1-0020 Gift Bag Template from our Gifts In A Snap collection.

Today we're featuring another stamp from that series, 10189X Tall Bag Template:

This cute little bag is easy to put together by following the directions printed right on the wood mount. You can also view a step-by-step photo tutorial here.

Recently, Debbie Fisher decorated the bag using stamps from our new 11155MC Swirly Birds Clear Set (drawn by artist and fellow Inky designer Trudy Sjolander):

Her finished bag ended up looking so "tweet":

Debbie also made a second bag, which was adorned stamps from with another Spring '13 release, 11147MC Tea Time Elements Clear Set (drawn by artist Nancy Baier of Shady Tree Studio):

As you can see, this variation has a unique twist:

Instead of cutting out the bag's handles, Debbie ingeniously trimmed around them (leaving the inside parts "solid") and scored them in half so the semi-circular sections could meet in the middle.

How clever is that? You might also have noticed that your image doesn't necessarily have to fit completely onto the bag. The layered ovals (in the tea sample) and circles (in the birdy sample) extend past the bag's sides and give it movement. So creative and fun!

These are so cute! I actually like the images a bit bigger than the bag. That bird is very tweet! Nice job.

I need to make more of them. I really do love how I did the second bag.

Both bags are sweet. Thanks for sharing about the variation on the second bag.
