Sunday Stamping With Vicki Garrett: Sporty Turtle

"Inky has the most exceptional turtles," claims Vicki Garrett.

I know that I'm biased, of course, but I definitely agree with her! One of our many cute turtle sets is 10937MC Sporty Turtle Clear Set (drawn by artist Tammy DeYoung):

The main image is also available in wood mounted as 10399E Waving Turtle. When you add some of the coordinating pieces from the clear set, though, you can really give him a sporty flair!

Vicki stamped some fun accessories onto her turtle, colored and cut him out, and then created dimension with foam dots:

She used her Uniball Signo White Gel Pen to highlight his rosy cheeks with dots of white, for an adorable touch:

"Sponges...[I] can't live without them, as I ink a lot of edges!" Vicki exclaims. Here's an example of how inked edges add pizzazz, along with punched-out arrows that she used to create a cool border:

And what happens when you put everything together? Let's reveal Vicki's fantastic results:

Yep, you end up with a "turtally awesome" card such as this one!
