Sunday Stamping With Vicki Garrett: Benton's Hiding

Many of our Inky customers and friends have fascinating jobs, but this is the first time I've met one who facilitates correctional treatment programs for federally sentenced men, which is what Vicki Garrett does.

"[I] love my work," she asserts,  "as it’s ever changing and there is rarely a dull moment." Wow, I can imagine that must be very true!

Vicki is also a mom to an "almost-17-year-old man child" and her "fur baby, Sydney the Shi-Tzu," so she is surrounded by males. In keeping with a masculine theme, she made this delightful card for today's project:

She used the Benton's Hiding image (8722G in wood mount) from 11081MC Aviator Benton Clear Set (drawn by artist Darby New):

The double-sided paper from the Paper Loft in the Huckleberry Pond collection is a perfect complement:

Vicki's coloring and blending of the cut-out bear image is so smooth and seamless:

She added a touch of shading to her sentiment circle for depth and visual interest:

And the inside of Vicki's card was beautifully decorated, as well:

Check out the shadow-stamped image overlapping the saying, which I think is such a creative finishing touch on this "beary" terrific card:

Paper: The Paper Loft

Ink: Black - Memento, Vintage Photo and Scattered Straw - Ranger Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Accessories: Foam Dimensionals, Ink Blending Tool - Ranger, Markers - Copic
