"Try It Different" Tuesday: Floral Cross

Although it's not a very "fun" topic, unfortunately we all experience losses in life. One of the joys of stamping is to be able to spread kindness and help lighten someone's burden.

I know that when I've received a sympathy card, it has touched me knowing someone else cares. And when that card is handmade, it is even more special.

The elegant images and sayings in 11097MC Floral Faith Clear Set (drawn by artist Vicki Schreiner) can be used to create many lovely projects:

For instance, Michelle Pearson layered several white elements that offset the striking lavender cross (2871J Floral Cross in wood mounted) and coordinating dry-embossed panel in this beautiful card:

Change the paper colors and shapes of the die-cut pieces, and you'll get a completely different--yet just as pretty--version like this one from Tina Covington:

Or switch the orientation, along with a few other elements, and you may be surprised by the unqiue results:

I like how the green band extends behind the width of the card to draw your eye from the cross to the sentiment (0242E Deepest Sympathy in wood mounted), and the colored pearls add a feminine touch.

Thank you to Michelle and Tina for sharing their thoughtful greetings with us!
