"Try It Different" Tuesday: Owl Friends

I've got a soft spot for owls, and these mod versions in 10960LC Owl Friends (drawn by artist Ronnie Walter) make me smile:

When I saw Beverly Sizemore's owl-dorable card, my grin got even bigger. It was one of her "bonus projects" as our Guest Designer this month, and I'm delighted to share it with you:

Beverly layered a sky background onto the base, which was created using our handy Cloud Stencil:

Next came my favorite part, stamping and embossing the single owl image (1591F Owlexander in wood mounted) onto delightful polka dot papers in lots of different shades:

Not one, not two...but eight of them total, for an explosion of color! Then she cut them out:

Finally, she perched them onto baker's twine in two rows and added a stamped sentiment:

Ink Pads: Stephanie Barnard Colorbox in Sky & Licorice - Clearsnap, Black Fine Detail Embossing Powder - Stampendous

Paper: Various - Diecuts With A View

Accessories: Circle Die Cut - Diecuts With A View, Basic Shapes Design Cartridge & eClips - Sizzix, Baker’s Twine - The Twinery, Foam Tape - Scotch/3M, Tiny Attacher - Tim Holtz Idea-ology

You may recall that, earlier this year, Lori Craig used the same image to make this sweet little owl canvas:

In the clear set version, these stacked owls (2237G in wood mounted) are also included. They adorn Lori's charming tag, which was another project featured during March as part of her visit as Inky's Guest Designer:

Recently I spotted this card from Ougot2 on Splitcoastampers, and it made me crack up. Check out those hilarious wiggly eyes:

Our dear "Necklace Lady From Texas" friend, Debbie Haney, used this image to decorate tags that were part of a grouping. They were tied to thank-you bags that she gave as party favors at a tea party, thrown in honor of her new granddaughter:

Because this is a large clear set, we were able to squeeze in yet another image and coordinating saying (2257J Owl Buddies & 0443E Friends Hoot Together in wood mounted), which Debbie Fisher used on her pretty card:

Now, whooo else wants to do some stamping?  Hoot if that includes you!
