In this card, the stippled Pear stamp (0369H in wood mounted) was stamped over a unique crinkled tissue paper background colored with Distress Inks:

Of course, the pear image can also be colored in, as Michelle Pearson did with the direct-to-paper method using Distress Ink, before applying a thin layer of gold glitter glue on top:
