"I’m a huge fan of ornament stamp sets," declares
Taylor Usry, "so I really love the [11206MC] Vintage Ornaments Clear Set –they’re fantastic!"
These pretty images were drawn by artist Trudy Sjolander:
When I asked Taylor what stamping tools she uses most often, she listed Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko inks (Memento, specifically), Spectrum Noir markers, Ultra Smooth White cardstock (from Crafter’s Companion), Embossalicious folders, and her eBosser.
The gorgeous card she made for today's post utilizes all of these products:
For me, the star of the show are these beautiful ornaments:
Taylor gave them a festive touch, which I think is just perfect for the holidays, using Iridescent Spray & Sparkle:
But that's not the only glittery aspect. "The whole thing shimmers and sparkles," she explains, "because the Centura Pearl cardstock base has a shimmer to it (best card stock ever), as does the silver DCWV layer!"
Here are the details:
Inks: IMAGINE Crafts®/Tsukineko® Memento™ Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Other Supplies: Centura Pearl cardstock, Iridescent Spray & Sparkle, Embossalicious 6x6 Let It Snow embossing folder (Crafter’s Companion UK and/or US), Spectrum Noir alcohol pens (colors listed below), DCWV silver cardstock, Post-It Notes (Scotch/3M), foam tape or dimensional dots
1. On two different Post-It Notes, stamp the round and larger rounded ornaments; fussy cut them both.
2. On white cardstock, stamp first the round ornament. Place the mask you created directly on top of it, and then stamp the larger rounded ornament where desired. After stamping it, place the mask for the ornament directly on top of it and stamp the third, long ornament. Fussy cut this trio of ornaments.
3. Color each ornament as desired.
(Small round ornament: HB1, HB2, HB3, BG2, PL2, PL3, LV1, LV2, CR8
Larger rounded ornament: LG5, LG4, LG3, LG2, GB2, GB3, GB1, DR7, CR8, CR11
Long ornament: CR5, CR6, CR7, JG3, JG4, JG5, GB4, GB3, GB2)
4. Spray the trio of ornaments with several coats of Iridescent Spray & Sparkle. (Taylor sprayed it on very thick, to create an aged, vintage-glittered look.) Set aside to dry.
5. Emboss silver card stock as desired.
6. Adhere card together. The ornaments are on foam tape for added dimension.
