Friday Funnies: Grilling Season

Memorial Day weekend is almost here, which means it's also time for the grilling season to officially begin! Here are some jokes to get things started...
Ready To Roast
As the coals from our barbecue burned down, our hosts passed out marshmallows and long roasting forks. Just then, two fire trucks roared by, with sirens blaring and lights flashing. They stopped at a house right down the block.
All twelve of us raced out of the back yard and down the street, where we found the owners of the blazing house standing by helplessly. They glared at us with looks of disgust. Suddenly, we realized why…we were all still holding our roasting forks with marshmallows on them.
Moral of the Story

A mother was pulling the finished hot dogs off the grill for her two young sons, John and Jeremy. The boys began to argue over who would get the first hot dog. Their mother saw the opportunity for a moral lesson.

"If Jesus were sitting here, He would say, 'Let my brother have the first grilled hot hog. I can wait.'"

The two brothers looked at each other. Then John turned to his younger brother and said, "Jeremy, you be Jesus!"

Free Grill and Grilling Tips from a Southerner

As every Southerner knows, come spring it will be time to get ready for that all-important cooking technique of the south: outdoor grilling. Great for those weekends at the lake!

I have just found out there are several stores where you can get a FREE BBQ grill! In these hard economic times, this news is sure to excite everybody.

You can get a free BBQ grill from any of the following stores**:
Big Lots Costco
Food Lion
Home Depot
Sam's Club

See below for example photo. I especially like the higher rack, which can be used for keeping things warm. And look at those bread warmers…how handy is that?

Just make sure to get a metal one instead of the plastic variety if you have a choice; the plastic ones don't do so well. Happy Grilling, and ya'll enjoy now!

**Of course, we don't condone stealing. This is just a joke, people. :-)

Very funny stuff. Makes me miss grilling season already. But I am going to bookmark this page and make sure to circulate it to my buddies come next May or June. Or, one can hope, maybe next April. Who knows? Where did you find those comics, by the way? I might just have to include one on an email invite!
